Ordered a replacement ribbon !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! for 24 bucks. Tear down and rebuild looks pretty straight forward. Tons of people out there having same issue and I was able to do some pretty good troubleshooting that leads me to believe its all that is wrong. Basically the front dvd system feeds the middle monitor video and from there it sends the data down stream to the 3rd row monitor but I’m just getting a blank screen. *cracks beer* Welp here goes nothing!

Update I’d your reading this wondering what happened it worked like a charm.

The best automotive related thing to ever happen to me as a kid was my dad installing a monitor and DVD player for in his Tahoe.

I wanted long road trips just so I could watch TV in there. It had a TV tuner, too, but reception was absolutely horrid. DVDs were great, though.

We had a modded Slim PS One in there with a binder full of pirated video games. We were deep into PS2/Xbox generation at that point, but that didn't stop us from enjoying some of those older games. Our Xbox needed too much juice. Otherwise we would have had that big behemoth in there, too.

Nobody ever fought for the front seat in that thing. It ruled.
